Cutting Edge Green

Small

Most communities have found ways to be a bit more green in the office and inside apartment homes.

But how many are really pushing the envelope when it comes to going green? There has been some recent buzz about several LEED certified buildings and there are some management companies really embracing environmental responsibility, but how are existing communities doing in the fight to save the planet?

It certainly is great to offer recycling services, use cfls, install water saving devices and implement other common green initiatives, but how about really cutting edge stuff?  Here is a great video that may spark some ideas. The idea to use cork tiles in lieu of vinyl flooring seems not only more green, but also more stylish.  Please let us know if your community is cutting edge and using some out of the box green techniques, tools or ideas.

I have seen the cork tile and IMHO it is stylish, I agree. I have no idea about its durability, however. Surely it's sturdier than a regular old corkboard, right? Otherwise it would be flaking all over the place! :)
