Our Version of Follow Friday

We love getting hooked on new websites and our industry has some great, well known sites that are valuable tools to many.

But there are also some lesser known excellent sites that are industry related we'll share and we're going to throw in some not industry related at all, that we just think are cool.

First up is http://www.american-apartment-owners-association.org/ .  This organization serves mostly smaller owners, but their information and their blog is top notch.  They really stay on top of the industry too.

http://www.multifamilybiz.com/default.aspx is next because they've actually been around for quite some time and consistently have interesting content.  They stay on top of industry events and have some cool videos and user uploaded content too.

This site - http://www.multifamilyinsiders.com/home/ is pretty widely known, but we had to mention because we really enjoy Multifamily Insiders and even provide some fun trivia for the site. If you haven't stopped by to see all their tools, you should.

If you're looking for a news feed with who's moving and shaking, http://nreionline.com/property/multifamily/ is the place for information.

There are tons of great sites for research and a lot of brokers have studies available, but stop by here every now and again for some in depth, serious research - http://www.jchs.harvard.edu/index.htm .

Mike Brewer's blog is always interesting - http://networkedblogs.com/iG41o?ref=nf, as is Heather Blume's Behind the Leasing Desk - http://behindtheleasingdesk.com/.   You should definitely sneak a peek at Lori Snider's brilliance - http://rentplicity.blogspot.com/ and we really love AppFolio and always keep an eye on their blog - http://www.appfolio.com/blog.

For some non-related fun, try http://www.makeuseof.com/ . They aggregate links to all the coolest websites out there, so be warned you could get distracted for hours on there.

This has really nothing to do with our industry and we're simply listing because it is cool - http://docsteach.org/ .  It is a site from the National Archives that lets you study history by viewing scans of old documents. If you click on documents and search lease, you can view a land lease from 1865, which is kind of neat.

Finally we're adding a site for those that are adventurous or just want to dream about being adventurous. http://www.wanderfly.com/ lets you plug in your starting point, your budget and how long you want to be gone for and delivers you destination ideas!

We know we are forgetting some great sites and great bloggers and there are several that we visit all the time, but we know you do too, that we didn't list. If you have any great sites you think we should see, post them here or email us at contact@gracehill.com.
